Xanxus on account of his background and power is a well-known figure among other characters in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! series. Aside from his mother, the Ninth leader of the Vongola, namely Timoteo would be a parental figure as his adoptive father. Although certainly not on amicable terms with them, Xanxus can heavily rely on the backing of his elite Varia unit. His wrathful ambition drew Superbia Squalo to him, where Belphegor was also present when Xanxus led a coup against the Ninth. Since being freed, Xanxus has brought Levi A Than and the Arcobaleno known as Mammon into his service.

A Gola Moska unit was a robotic entity used by Xanxus which is in keeping of him instilling fear in allies and foes alike. For Xanxus himself, in Futa's mafia ranking, he's third in When You See Their Face It's So Terrifying It Makes You Want to Run. His temperament such as calling others scum is applied to anyone Xanxus sees as beneath him, which is almost everyone including less esteemed mafia families. Forming connections with Xanxus are challenging given his nature, and that he is more concerned with securing his title as the next Vongola boss - titles and institutions are what Xanxus ties himself into.

Although crueller to his own squad and those around him, Xanxus' contempt for foes in direct opposition to his goals is still sizeable. Laughing at the idea of Tsunayoshi Sawada being his opponent for title of the successor, Xanxus desired to draw out the suffering of him and his guardians. For those who could challenge him, such as Mukuro Rokudo given his power and knowledge, Xanxus handles them by sticking to his goals, or siding with those under the Vongola banner. While antagonistic himself, Xanxus is still willing to apply his ruthlessness to those serving powerful adversaries such as Byakuran.

Mother[]

He lived in poverty with his mother in Italy. It is not known when his Flame of Wrath first manifested, but he had grown to be a boy when she acted on the unfounded belief that Xanxus was her son with the Ninth boss of the Vongola. It is possible Xanxus had a different name before having a X based one formed when his mother felt that was partly why Xanxus should succeed as the tenth Vongola boss. Regardless of the time, he had his name given by his mother, and would have his fate changed from her approaching Timoteo.

Vongola Famiglia[]

Xanxus is very dedicated to the Vongola's cause. It is not just because he is a member of the Varia, which serves as its independent assassination unit, or because he desires to become the tenth leader of the Vongola itself. Perhaps because it represents a peak position is why Xanxus feels such an affinity for it.

By the time of the future, he is offered a chance by Rasiel to team up in exchange for the boss position. In refusing, Xanxus declares that even when there is internal conflict, the Vongola will always fight as one. For individual leader-based members, his relationships with the present and future Vongola bosses, Timoteo and Tsuna respectively, are also strained. He bears a grudge against Timoteo for lying to him about his origin, and has yet to fully accept Tsuna as the next boss.

Upon being released from his icy prison, Xanxus was quick to capture his adoptive father and drain the life force from him, almost killing him in the process. He also refused to attend Tsuna's inheritance ceremony and threatened to withdraw support for him at a pivotal time. Nonetheless, he allies himself with Tsuna when necessary and ten years later, the Varia openly identify as Timoteo's assassination squad, showing that Xanxus at least honours his adoptive father's memory.

Timoteo[]

The Ninth boss of the Vongola family, it seems Xanxus first met him as a child when brought to Timoteo by his mother. Where his mother believed that Xanxus was Timoteo's and her biological son, Xanxus followed her guidance and displayed the Flame of Wrath to his supposed father. Taken in to the Vongola family by Timoteo as his son, Xanxus' life would completely change as a result. While Timoteo was a kindly man, it appears the case that Xanxus was left to his own devices.

Growing up in the prestige of the most prominent mafia families, Xanxus completely embraced the idea that he was the Ninth's son. It is not known how much contact they had, yet Xanxus had developed the idea his status placed him above all others, thus there may not have been much on account of Timoteo's contrasting nature. It very much seems Xanxus was adopted out of pity due to what his mother believed, where he lived as Timoteo's son, but was not since there really was no connection between them where it would make sense no major bond would be there as each went about their own business.

For whatever reason, Xanxus accessed Timoteo's private study one day and learned the truth that he was not in reality his biological son. Affected hard by this, Xanxus would indicate he regarded Timoteo as a father where the status of that was what was valued, rather than any parental or emotional connection. Having read details how he was in theory unable to become the next boss of the Vongola due to laws on a blood connection which he did not have, Xanxus was filled with further rage at his perceived loss.

Feeling that Timoteo never intended to have him become the successor, Xanxus felt betrayed. Although growing up in the same household as Timoteo, he did not know him, Xanxus was unaware the Ninth likely would have disregarded such laws at any rate. Were Xanxus of a kinder disposition, the prospect of him truly becoming Timoteo's successor, never mind laws that could be waived, may have realistically been feasible.

The revelation that Timoteo was not his father resulted in Xanxus launching a coup attempt to seize the title of Vongola boss by force. Bringing Squalo and Belphagor with others to the compound, Xanxus led a bloody attack where he reached Timoteo's location. Fighting him directly, Xanxus had no idea Timoteo could be so powerful. Not taking into account how all those he killed had impacted Timoteo, at hearing words that he was asked not to kill him, Xanxus felt he saw the Ninth's true personality had come to light. In attempting to kill Timoteo he was encased in ice and left confined for the next eight years for his actions.

Upon his escape, Xanxus resumed his campaign to overthrow Timoteo. Having captured him, few would know Xanxus had brought Timoteo to Japan encased in the armored robotic body of the Gola Moska. Having schemed it, Xanxus enacted his plan to have the Gola Moska destroyed by Tsuna after the battle for the Cloud ring.

Upon Timoteo being discovered in the wreckage, Xanxus announced to all that Tsuna had killed Timoteo. This was to be used as a rallying cry, should other Vongola members doubt he was suitable for the successor, Xanxus could mollify their doubts and potential resistance with the claim that the other candidate Tsuna had murdered the Ninth. Ultimately, Xanxus' plan to have the man who took him in murdered failed once more.

Varia[]

In contrast to Xanxus' steadfast commitment to the Vongola, his personal feelings towards some of the members of the elite assassination group of the Varia, and those who are extremely loyal to him personally, remain mixed. In response to being updated that the guardians of the half-rings had turned up, Xanxus told his informant to shut up.

He does not treat his subordinates well, reacting with indifference and sometimes even amusement when they are grievously injured. He often throws objects at his second in command Squalo and had Lussuria shot after Ryohei won the Sun Vongola Ring. His wrath was enough for Mammon to be afraid of facing him after losing the Mist Guardianship to Chrome and Mukuro.

Erasing the 'weak' is a practice Xanxus did not just believe in but enforced even against what are very strong battlers to keep the Varia as the best. Apparently, none of the Varia have had an actual conversation with Xanxus; except Levi.[citation needed] In a room with his squad, Xanxus sits in silence where the Gola Moska is positioned directly behind him. Indicative that he has it ready to attack squad members he may not trust in a room, either way Xanxus is ready to issue commands to them.

In the future, when Zakuro mockingly asked how Xanxus felt about losing his men, Xanxus coldly replied: "Do you feel anything when an ant dies?" Despite his mistreatment of them, he has the utmost respect from the Varia. He has occasionally shown some regard for them, such as when he enabled an antidote to be passed to some during the Varia Arc and addressed Mammon's concerns before the Arcobaleno battles. He also seems to care for his Box Animal, something noted by those like Zakuro. Further, he has not killed any of the subordinates who have failed him, though he doesn't hesitate to injure them.

Levi A Than[]

In Levi he has someone willing to work to gain his trust, though Xanxus as with others is not particularly moved by this commitment. In choosing Levi as a candidate for the lightning ring, Xanxus benefits from a fighter capable of generating electricity from the umbrellas he carries. Indeed for the second tournament for the rings, Xanxus would see that Levi was the first victor for his side. Not responding to this at all, Xanxus instead focused on belittling others. Presented the Lightning Ring by him, Xanxus answered he did not want it. Although Levi did fight well, Xanxus felt he made a fool out of himself. Despite that, Xanxus does blast a pole to bring a ring capable of curing the poison Levi was experiencing within reach. For that, his mistreatment continues in the future when Xanxus kicks Levi over.

Belphegor[]

Having brought Belphegor into his squad in time for the Cradle Affair, there was someone incorporating wires and knifes to bolster his team. As with other members of his group, Xanxus would not appreciate Belphagor's loyalty which was something he alone had from someone who styled himself as a prince. Notably for Xanxus he would comment it was not bad that Bel was up next for the Storm Ring battle.

It is unclear if Xanxus was able to view Belphegor's battle against Gokudera. Where is was possible he could have been present for Lussaria's battle, Belphegor's alone would be the only one Xanxus did not turn up to. While it was not said, it may be the case that Xanxus did recognize Belphagor's talents as he was one of the two Xanxus assisted in the battle for the Vongola rings.

It was a good judgement call from Xanxus as the person he helped would play an outsized role in assisting him. Even when defeated himself, Xanxus had Belphegor able and willing to help him having gathered the Vongola rings. For all the ill treatment of his squad, Xanxus could benefit from Belphegor physically placing the Sky ring on his finger when he was unable to do so.

Superbia Squalo[]

His wrath and ambition gained the devotion of someone skilled in sword fighting around the time when Xanxus would find out he was not actually the Ninth's son. Although receiving a vow from Squalo to help him with his ambition, Xanxus was swift to remark that it was worthless. Feeling that Squalo has lost his hand to the Sword Emperor, and having no sympathy to that, Xanxus had doubts about his worth. Upon clarification that Squalo had willingly removed his hand, where it was said to be proof of his resolve, Xanxus remained unimpressed.

Having Squalo with him when he attacked the Ninth directly during the cradle affair, Xanxus' background would be learned of by Squalo, who kept it unknown for a time. Although Squalo had pledged his skills to him, Xanxus is particularly spiteful to someone committed to following him. Although he was someone loud and vicious, Xanxus was violent to Squalo for no reason other than he could be. There is often no reason at all why Xanxus would throw items such as glassware at Squalo's head, and in calling him scum he has passed on his habit to him as well. Where Squalo was able to retrieve the rings from Basil who he had pursued to Japan, for the lengthy effort Xanxus responded by slamming Squalo's head into a surface since the rings were fakes.

His guardian candidate for the Rain ring, Xanxus witnesses Squalo's effective sword skills but has nothing good to say. Cursing him, Xanxus derisively remarked that Squalo does not change no matter the number of years that have passed. After Squalo fell to Takeshi Yamamoto, he broke into laughter while stating how pathetic Squalo was that the trash lost. Affirming that Squalo had outlived his usefulness, Xanxus indicated that he intended to have Squalo completely eliminated. He observed as Squalo was seemingly eaten by a large shark. A disturbing experience to others, Xanxus responded by laughing maniacally with the comment that in the end Squalo had become fish food. Reiterating that Squalo was complete trash, Xanxus truly meant what he said about him.

Lussaria[]

His candidate for guardian of the Sun Ring, he chose a physical hand-to-hand fighter as one of his squad members. For their background, Xanxus' effect on Lussaria was to have him tremble with fear upon his loss. In a first demonstration of what he was willing to do to his underlings, Xanxus evidently arranged to have Gola Moska shoot Lussaria for losing regardless of his already intense injuries. When Lussaria was brought to the battle for the Sky Ring strapped to a bed due to his collective injuries, Xanxus ignored his pleas for help and neither did he help provide the ring which could have cured his poisoning.

Mammon[]

Indifferent to having one of the seven Arcobaleno serving under him, the arrangement is in one instance that Mammon would seek Xanxus' permission to use a specific power, which he would grant at his leisure. Xanxus opted to have them battle for the Mist Ring. Upon Mammon's loss to Chrome with Mukuro, yet learning that they were still alive, Xanxus ordered Mammon to be shot by Gola Moska. With Mammon's return, Xanxus' intent evidently subsided yet he was not careful to preserve their life. In firing at Tsuna a shot missed hit the gymnasium near where Mammon was stuck.

A best case of illustrating the drawbacks of attacking one's own team members, had Xanxus done so it is likely he may not have benefited from Mammon's assistance in acquiring all the rings as he battled Tsuna. Due to Mammon's illusions, they heavily factored into him and Belphegor being able to gain the rings. Where he had been defeated, Xanxus was able to be assisted by someone clever, who knew how to thaw the ice that had just encased him for the second time. Given his knowledge it is possible that Xanxus was freed by Mammon to first time he was frozen as well. For all Mammon's assistance, Xanxus would have him replaced by Fran as the illusionist for the team in the future.

Gola Moska[]

Having acquired a military style Moska, a specific one was brought with Xanxus to Japan likely from the Ninth's compound in Italy. Its purpose was threefold: Xanxus planned to have Gola Moska battle for the Cloud Ring. All the while as the Vongola rings tournament played out, Xanxus had directed the unit to use its finger guns to blast only his own squad members who had lost. Whether from afar or if he was nearby, Xanxus found Gola Moska could reliably carry out his will as when it shot Lussaria for losing. Similarly, Xanxus verbally ordered Gola Moska to eliminate Mammon for their loss.

Its third purpose was linked to a central plot Xanxus formed, he had the Ninth's body kept inside the machine to serve as a power source where it was to be intentionally destroyed during the battle for the Cloud Ring. Accordingly, Xanxus could have the Gola Moska go haywire, eliminate Tsuna's team, and then upon its destruction from that, Xanxus could announce Tsuna had murdered the Ninth who unknown to all others was inside.

It would seem Xanxus lost the option to make use of this exceptionally powerful machine in the future. Once the Millefiore Famiglia came to be the most powerful organization, it was they who would use more stronger models.

Levi Lightning Strike Squad[]

While these units served under Levi A Than it would be Xanxus who had the highest authority over other members of the Varia. It is probable he sanctioned their activities to target the holder of the Lightning ring to eliminate them before a ring tournament could even take place.

Tsuna's Team[]

Coming to Japan to seize both the Vongola Rings and the title for successor of the Vongola, he would come into contact with Tsuna and his friends who had already been selected as guardians. In the Varia Arc he would comply with the prerequisites that the rings be fought for. Monitoring some of the rounds in the battle for the Vongola rings, he had a view that each was a combatant for one of his squad members to overcome to acquire each of the rings.

That Xanxus comments that members are trash it is not as personal as it should be given that Xanxus calls everyone that, where it is not filled with malice especially for them. Strikingly, even though they are a direct threat to his ambitions, whether Tsuna's candidates win or lose their battles for the rings, Xanxus as ever reserves his contempt only for his own Varia team members. He barely comments on any of Tsuna's team members specifically.

Tsunayoshi Sawada[]

Among other candidates to become successor to the Ninth, Tsunayoshi Sawada was one of them. It was appearing in the neighbourhood where Levi was assailing the guardian of the lightning ring where Xanxus first saw Tsuna in person. Upon sight, Xanxus lividly spoke his name before generating a light-based power to eliminate him and others including his own team in the area without any delay. The chance to take out the competition at once was prevented by Iemitsu Sawada.

Having observed the battle for the lightning ring, Xanxus only revealed his presence at what Tsuna said. Unable to keep to himself any longer, Xanxus spoke for Tsuna to stop what he called his rubbish of not wanting his friends to be hurt. Firing into him without warning, Xanxus took to glaring at Tsuna to find his gazed matched. Registering this, Xanxus addressed his expression and had the question whether Tsuna seriously thought he could defeat him and become the successor. Deeming him and the Ninth to be similar, Xanxus was content to have the battles continue for Tsuna to feel the same as Timoteo.

Recognizing his flame when he turned up at the final battle for the Cloud Ring, he commented that Tsuna was scum who needed to be eliminated. With this, Xanxus held him in the same regard as others, his own squad included. Having arranged for the Gola Moska to be destroyed, with the Ninth inside, Xanxus framed Tsuna for his murder. Asking how dare Tsuna kill the Ninth, he detailed that it was an attack on himself as Timoteo's son as well as the noble Vongola spirit. Continuing the charade, Xanxus announced he would kill Tsuna as a righteous revenge.

In the battle for the Sky Ring, he used his guns to join Tsuna in the air who was also capable of flight. His guns were used to fire ranged attacks at Tsuna, yet he would also endure physical strikes from him in turn. Although Xanxus could increase his own speed for a time, he would find Tsuna could come to match it where he endured heavy blows to his face. Although mocking Tsuna for not having the right technique since he knew what it looked like, Xanxus would experience from him the ice encasing effect he had previously endured from Timoteo.

Although seemingly overcoming Tsuna, he would be encased by his Zero Point Breakthrough: Revised ability. A disgust for Tsuna's kindness factored into him charging at who was becoming an increasingly stronger opponent as the battle wore on, and Xanxus would be knocked soundly out. Xanxus lost to someone he regarded as scum, with idealistic nonsense in his mind concerning not wanting others to be hurt.

As Reborn once pointed out, Xanxus is the exact opposite of Tsuna. While Xanxus is cruel and relentless, Tsuna is gentle and calm. Xanxus does not care about his subordinates, seeing them only as disposable pawns, while Tsuna values his friendship with his guardians and genuinely cares for them. Xanxus doesn't fight for anything but power, while Tsuna only enters combat when he needs to protect his friends.

For events after this, Xanxus would still not accept Tsuna as boss but was willing to battle as a member of the Vongola against their shared enemies. This was pivotal against the Millefiore Famiglia led by Byakuran and the sizeable forces under his command. While fighting to the same end, Xanxus was clear to others that he did not work for Tsuna.

Ryohei Sasagawa[]

Paying no mind to Ryohei when he was in the same area, Xanxus was also not seen turning up for the Sun Ring Battle of which this captain of the boxing team was participating in. Xanxus' response to him winning Sun Ring Battle against Lussaria is unknown. In the future they would be on the same battlefield, against Kikyo and the Spinosaurus heads he could form.

Lambo[]

If orders were given by Xanxus for Levi to take out the holder of the Lightning Ring then it would have been Lambo who Xanxus would have dealt with first. Present at the battle for the lightning ring, Xanxus made no comment on Lambo of his form changes as he fought against Levi A Than. It was however Lambo being protected by Tsuna which caused Xanxus to reveal his presence where he was against the notion of defending friends.

Hayato Gokudera[]

For the Storm Ring Battle his candidate for the Storm Ring, Belphagor, would battle against Gokudera. It would be the only battle it seemed certain that Xanxus did not observe and so miss out on Gokudera's intellect and dynamite being used. In the future, Xanxus and his squad would arrive in time to have Gokudera rescued.

Takeshi Yamamoto[]

In the battle for the rain ring, Xanxus was attentive to Yamamoto's combat abilities. Xanxus took note when Yamamoto produced his sword after he had effectively used the seventh defensive form Spraying Rain to fend off Squalo. His reaction to Yamamoto winning the ring himself was not to comment on him, neither the potential ring lost, rather laugh at Squalo for losing.

Chrome Dokuro[]

In the battle for the Mist ring Xanxus would observe Chrome and her illusionary powers used against his candidate, Mammon. Though apparently not familiar with her, Xanxus knew enough about the lava columns being formed to know that they were an illusion and so remain unfazed at them. Not even looking to the impressive power, Xanxus kepy his gaze on Chrome. When Xanxus was facing defeat, he could have been helped by Mammon were it not for Chrome dispatching them.

Mukuro Rokudo[]

Like himself, Mukuro is another force possessing lofty ambitions with the intellect and power to realize them. Where Xanxus was concerned he likely would have been a target of Mukuro who was set on eliminating all of the mafia of which he was a member of the most known one. Instead, where Mukuro had been stopped by Tsuna and brought into that fold by Iemitsu he would find him as a combatant for the Mist ring. At seeing Mukuro appear where Chrome once was, Xanxus contemplated this happening with some degree of interest.

Observing him as the victor of the Mist ring battle, Xanxus attempted to remain composed when faced with someone who also had an inclination of what his plot was concerning the Ninth secretly concealed inside the Gola Moska. Fortunately for Xanxus, his scheme could continue to its desired end result on account of Mukuro's temperament. Perhaps deeming it unwise to respond to anything Mukuro said given what he knew, Xanxus would also not take his advice to not trifle with Tsuna as the other candidate.

In the future, Xanxus would have his visage incorporated into Makuro's illusions that were being utilized against Kikyo. An illusion of himself being snared by a Spinosaurus was also a part of the act. For all the villainous streaks of their own they could fight against a common enemy.

Kyoya Hibari[]

At hearing praise for Hibari who was against Gola Moska for the Cloud Ring, he laughed while claiming he was looking forward to the match. Called by Hibari to enter the arena with him, Xanxus focused on the destroyed Gola Moska before complying with the demand. Gleefully launching himself into the arena, Xanxus attempted to kick Hibari. After being flung away, Xanxus claimed his foot slipped.

Although apparently it seemed a situation of Xanxus attacking someone who dared to challenge him, he focused more on having the Gola Moska reactivate in remaining committed to his plan. Taking to avoiding Hibari's tonfa based attacks, and assuring him he would not raise an arm, Xanxus spoke for the Cervello judges to note that Hibari was the one being aggressive.

Delighted to note that Hibari was shot across the leg, Xanxus used Hibari's quick to attack nature to depict himself as the wronged party for the judges to see. When the Gola Moska began to go haywire, Xanxus claimed he was only trying to prevent that, but Hibari had prevented him from doing so. Rather than fight seriously an opponent who brazenly challenged him in front of his own team, Xanxus brought this occurrence into his overall plan involving framing someone for the murder of the Ninth.

Reborn[]

As with Mammon he displayed no outward interest in the self-styled greatest hitman in the world and the Arcobaleno holder of the yellow Arcobaleno Pacifier. From Xanxus' comments on the Ninth he gained the rare ire of Reborn who drew his gun in response. When spoken to directly, Xanxus assured Reborn that would would let them have the rings as agreed should Gola Moska lose the battle. A brazen lie to Reborn, he meant for Gola Moska to lose, then go haywire to wipe them out.

Xanxus would not know that Reborn was behind the training that allowed Tsuna to develop the Zero Point Breakthrough: Revised which sealed his fate in the tournament. What Xanxus would find is that Reborn was a very capable mentor to Tsuna who was able to shoot him with a Dying Will Bullet before Xanxus could strike him away. While Xanxus fought Tsuna, he would lose to the one trained by Reborn, and bolstered by his exceptional power.

Birds[]

It is not likely that Xanxus would be aware of Birds, who was a part of Mukuro's faction. That Xanxus has two guns theoretically seems helpful given Birds relies on the Bloody Twins in a battle. He shares his birthday with Birds, as well as a predisposition towards enacting violence against others.

Iemitsu Sawada[]

Perhaps in the time of the Cradle Affair itself, Xanxus' life was spared due to Tsuna's dad requesting the Ninth to do so. Recognizing him in Japan and knowing him as the outside advisor to the Vongola family, Xanxus glared yet acquiesced to Iemitsu's direction of having no further violence when he meant to attack Tsuna and those around him.

Listening to what Iemitsu was saying but quiet all the while, Xanxus saw he had a message from the Ninth. Unknown to Iemitsu indeed everyone else, Xanxus would have been aware the message Iemitsu had received was from a shadow of the Ninth. Reading the letter as if for the first time, Xanxus let events play out as Iemitsu brought a message supposedly from the Ninth claiming that Xanxus as his son is worthy to be the Tenth.

Not displaying any indication that he had fooled the outside advisor, Xanxus also however could not decline his suggestion of enacting the traditional Vongola battle given his physical presence in the area. At hinting what had befallen the Ninth, he was gleeful when answering Iemitsu whether it was his job as the outside advisor to find out what happened to him.

Basil[]

It was likely at Xanxus' directive that Basil was followed to Japan by Squalo as he sought the Vongola Rings he believed to be on his person. Perhaps not knowing which member of the CEDEF had them, Xanxus would pay him no mind when he appeared with Iemitsu. His background as a potential successor to the Vongola are known to Basil, who heard the details from Dino.

Dino[]

The boss of the Cavallone Famiglia in which Xanxus disregards. They were in proximity to one another when Dino turned up at the battle for the Rain ring. Where Xanxus attempted to have Timoteo killed, this would fail on account of Dino's intervention who had the medical resources to stabilize him.

Lancia[]

Where Xanxus planned for fifty elite Varia members to kill the other combatants after his victory, he would that Lancia had used his wrecking ball to take them out before they could even arrive. Where Lancia had some indication of their activity from Mukuro, it would be the case that Xanxus back up plan to overwhelm his foes with numbers to guarantee the Vongola rings would fail on account of his actions. A last failsafe overcome, Xanxus would have no further recourse to prevent himself being captured.

Cervello[]

The judges for the battle of the Vongola rings. It is very likely that Xanxus had the Cervello present to enforce a tournament to fight for the Vongola rings should his initial attack fail where in front of others such a tournament would give further legitimacy to his claim of being boss. His contempt for them boiled over and ended with Xanxus physically striking one of the women. Ordering another to shut up, Xanxus claimed he had not lost his temper.

Millefiore Famiglia[]

By the future in around ten years, the Millefiore Famiglia had become the most powerful organization. Xanxus acted against their attempts to wipe out the Vongola Family. Securing a decisive victory against members in Italy, he would battle against stronger adversaries in Japan.

Rasiel[]

With Belphegor's twin brother Rasiel coming towards his location, Xanxus awaited to battle against this holder of the Fake Storm Mare Ring. Challenged by him and his butler Olgert, he had his Ligre Tempesta di Cieli box weapon stationed to petrify their attacks. Clear that Xanxus had the advantage, he received and declined an offer from Rasiel to side with the Millefiore and be granted the Boss of the Vongola position over Tsuna. They share a violent streak, and notions of being superior to others, yet exercising tactics and a willingness to affirm loyalty to the Vongola were a key difference in Xanxus' favor.

Olgert[]

Targeted by Olgert before seeing him, Xanxus would have his castle base in Italy utterly destroyed by the multiple Heavy Rain Elephants that were sent crashing into it from afar. When Olgert arrived with Rasiel he was prepared to engage them both. Ready to petrify Olgert's elephants this time, Xanxus found this as the means for turning them and him into stone.

Zakuro[]

The Storm Mare Ring holder in the future, Xanxus would see Zakuro was able to draw upon T-rex traits. The first of the real Six Funeral Wreaths that Xanxus engaged with his team, one on one, Xanxus had his Ligre Tempesta di Cieli maul Zakuro's face.

Kikyo[]

In the future Xanxus came into contact with Kikyo, one of the Six Funeral Wreaths who could use the Spinosauro Nuvola power to attack many foes. Xanxus being one of them due to his alliance with the Vongola, an illusion of him would be caught in a Spinosaurus's jaws. Although the battle had ended and Kikyo was no longer engaged in combat, Xanxus shot him while defenceless anyway.

Byakuran[]

In the future Xanxus though hostile to others, would also be against Byakuran, the founder of the Millefiore Famiglia who had developed it into the most powerful mafia organization. Battling him indirectly, Xanxus would defeat Rasiel who was acting under Byakuran's direction, and secure a victory in Italy. Travelling to Japan, he would join the collective effort to defeat Byakuran. His guns fired into Byakuran's shield in a joint attempt to destroy it.
