Ouch. I mean, really. Ouch, ouch, ouch. Enma's being treated like crap in this chapter.
First of all, what kind of a test was Enma planning on pulling? It seemed to me like it was sort of a way to see if Tsuna would help him or not; I don't think there's much else to it. That panel of Enma just sitting in the factory... that was crushing. My concern now is that the "mysterious female fighter" that attacked the Giegue is going to attack Enma now that he's at the scene.
I at first assumed Adelheid was said female fighter, but I'm not sure that theory holds up anymore. If it does hold up, Enma and the other Shimon members must not know yet; Enma referred to the Giegue's attacker as a "Mafia family" instead of a single fighter in his letter to Tsuna. That could, though, have just been a way of avoiding telling Tsuna about Adelheid. Still, I'm not sure why Adelheid would attack the Giegue anyway, so for now I'm putting that theory on the back-burner.
I get the feeling that the Shimon family is weary or perhaps interested in the Vongola Sin, whatever it actually is. Adelheid warning Enma about it was really suspicious to me.
Gokudera running into Enma must play some part in the story; that's too random to not be mentioned again, right?
To be honest, I'm not sure I really trust the Shimon family just yet. I like Rauji and Shitt P. but the other members are starting to grate on my nerves a little. Especially Julie, who needs to DO something. I theorized that the Shimon would have to fight the Vongola at some point, and that might still happen, but I almost think they'd make better allies than enemies in terms of their character traits.
That shower scene with Adelheid was so unnecessary. Not that I'm complaining, but still...
One day away from the ceremony... I honestly don't know what'll happen there, and I don't really have any theories. I do, however, have a short wishlist of what I want to see in chapters to come.
1. More of the Chiavarone Family. Does Dino have guardians? If so, we need to meet them; Amano loves penciling in new characters all the time, anyway.
2. More about the Ninth's Guardians. They seem like an interesting (if somewhat aged) group. I especially like Brow Nie Jr. just for his name alone.
3. The Shimon Family in action. Even if it's against the Vongola, seeing these guys fighting would be awesome. They look like serious brawlers to me.
4. Hibari getting some BACKSTORY. I don't know that I've ranted about this before, but we really don't know anything about Hibari. He deserves a little background.
5. No more references to the Future. The arc is over, and I don't want to see Byakuran's pasty face or stupid smirk ever ever again.
6. Kyoko doing something for the Family. I won't go so far as to ask for Kyoko to get in a battle scene, but she deserves a larger part than the one she has.
Oh, and finally, my Crack Theory Of The Week.
THEORY
Kyoko Sasagawa is the Mysterious Female Fighter that took down the Giegue family, and she is out to destroy the Vongola/ruin the Inheritance Ceremony.
Obviously there's nothing to support this theory other than the fact that the fighter was female, but it honestly made my mouth drop open when my friend suggested it.
