Future Arc[]

Primo Family Arc[]

Asari Ugetsu Materializing From The Vongola Ring

Ugetsu Asari appears from the Rain Vongola Ring.

When Tsuna and the others returned to the past to train before their upcoming battle with the Millefiore along with Uni, Uni summons Vongola Primo from the Vongola Ring and was told that the First Guardians of Vongola will observe them henceforth to see if they are worthy enough to inherit the Vongola's true power or not. At night, he appears from the Rain Vongola Ring in front of Yamamoto in the middle of his training. After introducing himself, he requested to hear the extent of Yamamoto's resolve. When Yamamoto gave a simple and clear response, he laughed and said that he will observe him carefully.

Rain Guardian Succession Trial[]

Yamamoto vs Asari

Ugetsu fights Yamamoto.

Ugetsu appears before Yamamoto and his friends, telling them to come to Namimori Shrine at 8 p.m. Later, at the promised time, Ugetsu appears and began his trial by showing his swords. This made Yamamoto assumed that the trial is a battle against Ugetsu, surprising the first Rain Guardian. Hearing Yamamoto's declaration that he will defeat him, Ugetsu wonders what made Yamamoto so hasty. Ugetsu begins to fight Yamamoto and opens his back when he unleashed his technique, Kuzuryū Kawakuzure, which opens his back. Yamomoto takes the opening to attack Ugetsu, but is blocked by Colonnello who received the brunt of the attack.

Ep 180 Yamamoto and Ugetsu

Ugetsu blocks Yamamoto's Scontro di Rondine.

This results in Yamamoto's defeat, which is questioned by Tsuna. Ugetsu said that Tsuna already knows the answer. Ugetsu decides to give Yamamoto a second chance but warned him that there won't be a third. The next day, similarly to the day before, Ugetsu and Yamamoto fights. Like before, Ugetsu exposes his back when using the same technique he used yesterday, but this time, Yamamoto doesn't go through with his attack. Ugetsu approves of Yamamoto's choice, revealing that he purposely used the technique to test whether Yamamoto will attack defenceless opponent or not. He also reveals that his test wasn't supposed to be a battle and has no choice but to go along with it.

Ep 180-2 Ugetsu and G

Ugetsu admits to G that he's being soft on Yamamoto.

Ugetsu explains that Yamamoto failed the first test because he is ready to cut his opponent by any means necessary and betrayed his own feeling. However, today, Yamamoto has properly performed his duty as the Rain Guardian, and thus, passed the test. Yamamoto and Ugetsu got along very well after that; both stating they enjoyed battling each other. He gives his power to Yamamoto and states it will be useful when he's in a dire situation. He was later seen with G., who commented that he was too soft for giving Yamamoto a second chance. He said to G that Decimo's Family reminded him of the past with Primo's Family, stating how they're very similar to them.

Later, at Namimori Shrine, he, along with the other Guardians and Primo, meets to discuss the trials so far, and the one that was yet to come. All of them look worried since the next trial would be Demon Spade's succession test. Ugetsu hopes that the trial can proceed smoothly.

The Guardians watch Demon's trial from a far, with Ugetsu suggesting that they should stop Demon. However, Giotto stops them and instructs them just to wait and watch for this is part of the trial that Tsuna and his friends must overcome. After Demon's trial finished, he along with the other guardians and Giotto returned to the Vongola Rings.
