He was defeated in a two day long battle against [[Superbia Squalo]], making Squalo the second Sword Emperor. Subsequently, Squalo defeated 100 other sword users in a row, securing his title. Every battle was filmed by [[Lussuria]] and the set was later given to [[Takeshi Yamamoto]]. Tyr had only one hand, and because of this, Squalo cut off his own hand so as to understand Tyr's fighting style, but later replaced it with [[Artificial Arm Sword|an artificial one]].
