Synopsis

With the Sun Flames from his Vongola Gear bangle charging up to 100%, Ryohei blasts Koyo with his Maximum Sunshine Counter, causing a huge explosion. As the smoke clears, the group sees Ryohei standing and congratulates him. However, Koyo is still on his feet and the two try to continue their battle for their pride. They lunge themselves towards each other, desperate to win to keep their pride intact, and their fists connect. They look at one another for a split second and falls to the ground at the same time.

Tsuna, Reborn, Gokudera rush forward when the Vindice arrive and wrap their chains around the two combatants, saying that Ryohei and Koyo will both be imprisoned for losing. Tsuna begins to protest but is stopped by Ryohei, who tells Tsuna that he has no regrets because he didn't let his pride be shattered. He looks at Tsuna and tells him not to let them take his pride away. Tsuna seems confused, but Ryohei smiles at Tsuna and tells him to let his heart guide him because he knew the extent of Tsuna's pride. Saying this, Ryohei and Koyo both start to disappear, as they were taken away by the Vindice. Tsuna screams for the Vindice to return Ryohei, but the Vindice state that such actions would not be forgiven and proclaim the end of one battle. The Vindice tells them that they will leave behind the first Key that was entrusted to them by Giotto and Cozarto Simon. They pull out a bag that shoots something to both the Vongola and Simon Bosses and their remaining guardians.

Everyone who was shot by the bag begin to see a memory. Two boys stop a red haired boy and tells him that he dropped his wallet in Paolo's shed. The red haired boy looks a bit disappointed and says that he had dropped it there on purpose as he couldn't stand to Paolo and his family starve. One of the boys apologizes but reassures the red haired boy in front of him not to worry, as he and his companion had just dropped off food supplies for Paolo and his Family. The two boys smile and begin to introduce themselves, and these three people turn out to be Giotto, G. and Cozarto Simon. The memory ends after Giotto and Cozart shake hands. The Vongola and Simon both realize that they had just seen a memory from their ancestors' pasts.

Elsewhere, Chrome awakens after seeing the memory and finds herself in a well-furnished room. She suddenly sees a somewhat familiar silhouette standing near the balcony. She sees a familiar "pineapple" hairstyle and immediately thought that it was Mukuro, but she realizes her mistake instantly. She realizes that although they looked similar, they were both two very different people and, as she gets a clearer look at this person, she sees that it was none other than the person who had brought her to this island: Julie Katou, who smiles as he watches Chrome wake up.
