The Gesso and the Giglio Nero is the 197th chapter of Akira Amano's Katekyo Hitman Reborn!.

Synopsis Edit

In a flashback, Uni is accompanied by Gamma and her guards to Byakuran's place where they are welcomed by a man. As the group walks down the hallway, Uni spots a person and calls him Byakuran, although they had never met each other before, surprising both herself, Gamma, and her guards. After a short introduction, Byakuran asks Uni to come with him alone for a meeting, to which she agrees, while Gamma refuses. However, Uni tells Gamma to look into her eyes, which he did and saw no sign of recklessness, prompting him to let her go.

After a short while, Uni returns and announces the merging of the Gesso and Giglio Nero Famiglias, much to her guards' surprise. Gamma tries to touch her, but Uni slaps his hand away, saying that only Byakuran could touch her now. Angered, Gamma tries to attack Byakuran, but Uni shields the former with her body, forcing Gamma to stop. When the time for signing the deal arrives, Gamma gives Uni the box that her mother gave him, saying that he would only use it when fighting for the Giglio Nero.

Back to the present, Gokudera expresses his confusion, saying to Gamma that Byakuran and Shoichi were his comrades, but Gamma tells him that the Millefiore Famiglia had many comrades, but not him; even among the Black Spell. Gamma added that one of the Black Spell sold out the Giglio Nero Famiglia to the Gesso: the most violent one, Genkishi, the Phantom Knight and the greatest swordsman.

Elsewhere, Yamamoto is carrying an unconscious Lal Mirch and comes face to face with none other than Genkishi himself.
