Synopsis
The Vendice, having stated their intentions, start to fade away. They say that they aren't the referees of the battle, but that they would return, to collect the losers. Adelheid asks them, how the loser would be chosen. The Vendice state that the thing at stake in the upcoming battle will be pride, and the losers would be those who have their pride broken.
Reborn explains that pride in a mafia battle is not uncommon. Tsuna, looking a bit anxious, explains that he never had any mafia pride. Adheild then explains that for each person, the pride at stake is different.
The Shimon Famiglia then explain to the Vongola, that the history of the Shimon is engraved within the island. They explain that there is just one road ahead, which the Vongola will have to follow, and at the end of that road the Shimon will wait.
Tsuna's new power
As the Shimon prepare to leave, Tsuna goes into Hyper Mode, revealing his new Gloves and Flames, much to the suprise of the watching Shimon. Tsuna then asks Enma to fight him, then and there. Enma smiles, states that Tsuna might have become a bit more capable, says that he'll be waiting with baited breath, and then dissappears along with the rest of his family.
Tsuna attempts to look for them from the sky, but soon realizes that it was pointless. The group soon realize, that their only option, was to go along the road mentioned by the Shimon.
After five hours of walking down the road, the group start to wonder if the Shimon wanted to make them walk for six days, so that their power will be at its maximum. They come across a clearing, and are immediately attacked by the leaves on the ground. According to Gokudera, the attacking leaves felt like they were being sliced by knives. At this moment a voice starts to explain that the vegetation in the island, were regrown after absorbing the blood of the now deceased First Shimon boss. A figure starts to emerge from the leaves, and announces that the Vegetation will this time drink the blood of the Vongola. The group's first obstacle was Ryohei's former boxing pal, Koyo Aoba.
Ryohei asks for an explanation from Koyo, wanting to know why a fellow sportsman would do such a thing. Koya replies that his hate for the Vongola was much greater than his sportsmanship. Koya then explains to Ryohei, his hate of the Vongola, and how boxing was just a means to an end to him. He then makes the deadly proclomation that this "means" will also be the lethal weapon which he would use to take revenge on the Vongola.
Koya then challenges the entire group, stating that he alone would be enough to take them on. Ryohei however, refuses this proposition, declares a one-on-one fight, stating that he will put his pride as a boxer on the line.
Koya accepts this, and says that he too, will place his pride on his fists. The two opponents then decide on the rules, an anything goes, one fall boxing match. Koya, then creates a ring using barbed vines. Now, with the stage set for the battle, Koya unleashes a deadly flame, that even Reborn acknowledged as dangerous. Ryohei, now set for battle, calls out Kangaryuu, and is about to release his new, Vongola Gear.
