Where is your proof that he is 14?

Kaoru's Flame Speculation

I think Kaoru's flame may be Ocean.

1. Ocean would be the earth equivalent of rain, as rain is sky water and ocean is earth water.

2. Ocean would probably have something similar to a tranquility factor.

3. Kaoru's full name when written as "Kaoru Mizuno" means "Fragrant Water."

Does anyone agree?

I think Kaoru's flame may be Ravine.

1. He is easily able to injure yamamoto, when you look at a ravine from above it looks like a wound on the earth.

2. As the guy above said when his full name means fragrant water, and ravines often have water running through them, kinda like a river.

3. He has a drill thing as his weapon, since you use a drill to dig into the earth, i think it's highly unlikely that it'll be something related to the ocean

4. He doesn't need have a flame that's equivalent to rain, i'll them credit of galacia and cloud, but thunder and mountain? it's a disney ride but nothing else really strike me as them being equivalent or complete opposite, same with storm and swamp, so i'm saying the flames doesn't need to be equivalent or solar opposite.

How about River?

Chapter 340 show some symbols of earth rings. one of them looks like a river. (see 2nd row 4th panel)

I mean, it has already been established above that the phenomena they represent don't have to be similar, i.e. lightning to mountain, storm to swamp, and none of the rest are that similar either. But although no one ever says it directly, the characteristics of the flames are incredibly similar: the sky being essentially the combination of every other flame plus a little extra here and there vs. the earth being the same thing to the dying will flames of the earth, the storm disintegration vs. the swamp's fermentation of any non-organic matter into a swamp, the sun's activity vs. the forest being the only flame to feature something alive and that can grow and expand under the right conditions, the cloud's propagation vs. the glacier's ability to make a huge number of ie clones(a bit of a stretch I guess, but it is at least true that water expands when it freezes), the mist's illusion's vs. a mirage in a deasert, even the before-mentioned lightning is similar to its counter - the lightning's hardening vs. the defensive power of the mountain and that wall thing rauji used. Anyway, the reason I think that Mizuno's flame is the meadow, or maybe a field, is that that is one of the most tranquil (rain atribute) general settings I can think of, and if you look at the vongola rain guardians proclaimed duty as the rain guardian: "To become a blessed shower that settles conflict and washes away everything" and how"washing away everything" includes the negative emotions, I can see why it would be something like a meadow or grassy field. It sertainly seems to me like this would be a prime choice of location to wash away your grief and sadness, or to calm down an enemy, at least consideringit has to be a general type of location or land formation. Also, according to this website:    http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manga/KatekyoHItmanReborn  under 'animal motifs' the shimon famiglia are insect themed, and with the dragonfly, the scorpion, and the beetle(s?) making at least a little sense for their respective regions, it is probably safe to say that the honey bee or wasp could also be pointing to a region, most likely somewhere with an ample suply of flowers, *cough cough* meadow/field *cough*50.131.144.21

I think it would be Ocean, and his arm's weapon and the way that he attacks reminds me of the Gonodactylus smithii

I think the appearance of the flame reminds of a geyser. The ability could be something like "explosion" or "Ebullition/Boiling". (maybe he let parts of yamamoto's skin explode) Also, the animal doesn't have to be related to the element, so his equipment isn't really a hint.

And the earth flames are very specific about their abilities (Mountain Cration, Plant control, create ice and kaoru's "deadly flame"). Maybe they only now some of the ability, like glacier could be "Solidifying", but Adel only knows how to use it on water. What do you think about this?
