An important part of the Future Arc, the Rings allow people to bring out their Dying Will Flame and use them to power Box Weapons. There is a ranking for the Rings that range from E-rank (weakest) to A-rank (strongest), with the Vongola and Mare Rings being exceptionally ranked as Rank A Over. High ranking Rings influence in the purity of the Flames and consequentially affect the strength of the Box Weapon, but the main point of this ranking is to determinate the ring's capacity to handle the strength of the Flame Waves that empower them as well as the potency of the resulting Flames. This is best illustrated in the case of Kyoya Hibari: D-rank and C-rank Rings are unable to handle his overwhelming Flame Wave and break after a single use when he brings out strong Flames. Comparatively, the Cloud Vongola Ring can receive that same Flame Wave and continuously produce strong Flames without breaking. At the time ten years prior to the Future Arc, the power of the Rings had just recently been discovered and was something known by only a few even among the mafia. With the passing of years however, their usage became widespread within the underworld.

Sets of Rings
Hell Rings
These rings are 6 of the most powerful Mist rings. When they are used to excess they can possess the user and unleash a great amount of power. But if the user himself cannot contain/control its power then the hell ring can cause a drastic change in personality (it seems that Mukuro, Fran and Kawahira do not have altered personality even after extensive use unlike Genkishi ). Currently, the users of 5 of the 6 rings have been shown. The official name is only known to one of the Hell Rings: the Ossa Impressione (Italian for bones impression) Hell Ring, which is shaped like a misty skull.
- '666' ring - Fran
- Ossa Impressione Hell Ring - Genkishi
- Eye shaped ring - Mukuro Rokudo
- Snake shaped ring - Kawahira
- Vine covered orb shaped ring - Mukuro Rokudo[1]
- Horn shaped ring - unknown
Varia Rings
In the future, the Varia appear to have customized rings that are engraved with the Varia crest. Unknown Rank, possibly every type. However, high-ranking officers like Xanxus have A-rank.
- Sky Ring - Xanxus
- Storm Ring -Belphegor
- Rain Ring - Superbi Squalo
- Cloud Ring - unknown
- Lightning Ring - Leviathan
- Mist Ring - Fran
- Sun Ring - Lussuria
Fake Mare Rings
These rings were worn by what were thought to be the Six Funeral Wreaths before Byakuran revealed that the rings that they were using were fakes and destroyed the rings. They were described by Byakuran to be "beautiful stones of A-rank", but he said that the Real Mare Rings were "a lot more special."
- Storm - Rasiel
- Rain - Glo Xinia
- Lightning - Gamma
- Mist - Genkishi
- Sun - Shoichi Irie
- Cloud - unknown
Note: It appears that Genkishi and Gamma has had their Fake Mare Rings repaired, but without the wing.[2]
Other Rings
- Lanchia's Boss's Ring - Given to Tsuna by Lanchia after the Varia conflict. Unknown Rank and Unknown Type. Tsuna brought this ring along with him to the future, but has yet to use it.
- Gokudera's Skull Ring - The Rings that belong to the Sistema C.A.I. They are not given a rank.
Trivia
- It is speculated by many Hitman Reborn fans that there is a rank above an A-Rank Ring, for the unknown Rings like the Varia and Lanchia's Boss Ring, and the Hell Rings (Byakuran stated to Rokudo Mukuro that he had 2 Hell Rings: " Wow! You have 2 rare rank 5 Rings, the Hell Rings. This hints that a Hell Ring is very powerful.) It might be possible that it is a rank between A and S rank
