:'''Quick Note on Family:''' It really doesn't matter if there is only a few second generation admins. There are 4; so we are only missing a few flames. Anyway, all 4 of us are pretty active, giving or taking we have other lives outside the wiki. And that's why we've agreed on the second generation since the first is hardly ever active anymore. Its like they passed the torches onto us; so, they "retired" and let us continue to what they started. [[User:Chrome9669|The one that floats over the Wiki... :'''Inactivity:''' I have to protest about us not being active. As Chrome said, we all have lives outside of the wikia (I know that Chrome & I are both in high school, AG is in... college? and XSawadaX is also busy). So, even though we can't be online 24/7, the different time zones we live in generally allow us to have someone available... I lurk while doing homework until I go to sleep. Nothing about the final decision, but I have to disagree with that particular statement. [[w:c:reborn:User:Ridiculousnever|The Grammar Guru, Ridiculousnever]] 00:11, October 1, 2010 (UTC)

Hello fellow editors,
We are starting this new page for all of you out there that believe you have worked hard and that think you have what it takes to become a sysop (administrator).

Requirements

  • Being very active and contributing much to the Wiki
  • More than the actual edit count, edits to the main content of the Wikia rather than blogs and user page edits are accepted. To have your edits broken down, visit the Edit Count Page.
  • 2 nominations from other active contributors who will vouch for you
  • Acceptance by a bureaucrat, which can substitute as two nominations.

Below is a list for all of those who wish to ask to become an admin. Note that you will need two fellow editors to nominate you as well as vouch for you. If you wish to become an admin, please post your request below.

Not everyone will become an Admin. In order to keep order and balance in the wiki, we are not going to make everyone an admin; please understand this. Thank you and the best of luck to you all.

Requests for Sysops

When a nomination is complete, send the section to the archives located here.

XIII-DARKNESS

I, XIII-DARKNESS would like to request for admin ship, do to the fact I am highly active, am always on and also have over 1000 good edits, and am also a rollback editor.

On the Fence: Personally, I've got a sort of mixed opinion to this. Though I do agree that XIII-DARKNESS has been a decent contributor to this wikia, I did a little background check myself with this using the edit count page. Roughly, the breakdown goes like this: 40% main [articles and whatnot], 28.5% user talk, 15% user, and about 5% each for blogs and files. Not that there's a prerequisite for edit percentage or anything, but I personally think that at least 60-80% of a user's total edit count should be spent on articles and files combined. If you boil it down, only about half of XIII-DARKNESS' edits have been on those two. Also, is there a necessity for adding admins now? Generally speaking, how many admins do we really need to make sure that this wikia is running as smoothly as possible? Ridiculousnever 21:09, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
In the Middle: I have to say he would be a good person to have demo I have to agree with Ridiculousnever. If I remember correctly, Mastermarth4 said something about not wanting to add any more admins currently after AG and I became admins (on a talk page). I think w/ the add of Riducousnever, we're pretty set currently. I mean admins only have a few more features than the regulars and rollbacks; so, I don't think it's necessary at this time. Although, I think if he works hard, we should keep him in mind for a later day. The one that floats over the Wiki... Chrome9669 21:30, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
Kinda Against:Right now, a new Admin isn't needed. Frankly speaking, Ridiculousnever was only made an admin because he was Ridiculousnever, meaning one of the people responsible for bringing the Wikia this far (And look how long he Waited :O). Overall, with Chorme, Ridiclous, XSawadaX and Me, there are four active admins, and unless someone proves to be an editor, whom we absolutely cannot ignore, it might as well stay like this, after all, too much of a good thing can make it a bad one.
Agree: Okay, I agree with letting XIII-DARKNESS be an official administrator. And it's not because this whole friend thing (trust me, it's not), but it's because he does have a good amount of edits. And yeah, he hasn't been on the site for a long time, but from the time he started, he went straight to editing. Plus, now knowing that his main is only slightly higher than his User Talk, he might now focus just on editing articles. Yeah, yeah, we have a lot of editors, but I'm pretty sure one more won't hurt. And are all the admins as active as him? Sorry if I'm wrong, but I don't see a lot of the admins, other than like AlienGamer, Chrome9669, Ridiculousnever, and XSawadaX, contributing much to the site. I might be wrong, but I just don't see the other admins on the Activity Feed a lot. Also, it looks weird to have only a few Second Generation Admins, wouldn't you want to make a full family? Just let one more person be admin. I'm pretty sure it won't hurt. Or you could agree for him to be admin on some certain conditions or something.... IHeartFran 23:35, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
To Counter the Above: Look how long Ridicluos had to wait, and he's someone I nominated ages ago. Plus, as mentioned above, we have 4 active Admins now. Stability is more important than having a "full family", when Chrome & I became admins, this Wikia, was well, not as good as it was now, the 4 admins above took the Wikia to where it is now, in a time that it was desperately needed. Now that we have come to this stage, picking admins will have to be done with caution.
Counterattack Above Statement: Ridiculousnever did have to wait a long time, I agree. But also the time span between when he started and when XIII-DARKNESS started was just four months. I'm pretty sure if he started early he would have the same amounts as Ridiculousnever now. He's almost at 2000, too. And plus, XIII-DARKNESS did make some good templates for the site. And he became the first official Rollback Editor. If you see his achievements he got to 1000 edits (starting from 100) all in 16 days, if I did my math right. I dunno if that's usual, but its really good. Yeah, the stability is more important, I was pretty dumb to bring up the whole family thing. And if you pick XIII-DARKNESS you won't regret it...really.
