The Vongola Rain Swallow is a Box Weapon used by Yamamoto and is half of the Vongola Rain Box. It has the power to emit Rain Flames that becalm the opponent's Dying Will Flame. In the battle against Nosaru, the effect of this was actually extinguishing his Flames during their fight. The Rain Flames can also be used as a form of camouflage, as seen when the Future Yamamoto used the Swallow to hide the entrance to the underground Vongola Headquarters when entering.

Kojirou has been upgraded after Yamamoto was given the Vongola Box. It can now use Cambio Forma and has the ability to combine with the Shigure Kintoki. This forms a blade of such renown to be legendary, originally used by the First Vongola Rain Guardian; the weapon said to wipe everything clean, the irregular quadruple blade Asari Ugetsu. The tranquilization effect of these Flames can be so powerful that the opponent's Flame-based attacks do not appear to be moving at all, as shown in the rematch between Genkishi/Saru and Yamamoto during the Choice Battle.

• Kojirou is the reconstructed Rain-Element Swallow for Yamamoto's use only.
• Made from Vongola's newest technology.
• Its basic abilities are just like other normal Rain Swallow, but it unites with Yamamoto's Shigure Kintoki via Cambio Forma, and into a long sword that mimics the First Rain Guardian's.

Cambio Forma: Asari Ugetsu's Four Irregular Swords

• Cambio Forma: Asari Ugetsu's Four Irregular Swords - When activated, Kojirou fuses with the Shigure Kintoki to create a long sword and Jirou provides three short swords.
• Rain Flames - As seen during Yamamoto's second fight with Genkishi, Kojirou flies above the entire fighting area and rains down Rain Flames without being noticed, slowing down the opponent's Flame attacks.

Trivia

• It could be that Yamamoto picked this animal as his Box Weapon because of the image of a swallow on Shigure Kintoki, which is shown in Form Eight, Pouring Rain, and this would also explain why Kojirou fuses with the sword instead of Jirou.
• Yamamoto named this Rain Swallow Kojirou; this name supposedly comes from the swordmaster Sasaki Kojirou, a legend in Japan who was very famous for his favorite Technique, "Tsubame-Gaeshi" (Turning Swallow Cut). This Technique was feared and respected throughout feudal Japan.
• As another note, Sasaki Kojirou was renowned for his skill at using the kodachi, an exceptionally long katana. This is noteworthy, as when the Vongola Rain Swallow combines with the Shigure Kintoki, its length could qualify for kodachi status.
• If you remove "Ko" from the name Kojirou, you get "Jirou," the name of the other half of the Vongola Rain Box.
