The anime adaptation mostly follows the story of the manga series. Some changes were made to the story, such as censoring out mature themes such as cigarettes and the use of blood. The [[Inheritance Ceremony Arc]] and [[The Curse of the Rainbow Arc]] were never adapted into the anime. Instead, the anime had created two new filler arcs, the [[Arcobaleno Trials Arc]] and the [[Inheritance Succession Arc]], which both took place in between the [[Future Arc]], and revolved around Tsuna and his friends temporarily returning back to the present.
