Katekyō Hitman Reborn! DS Flame Rumble Mukuro Kyoushuu is the first ever game of the Flame Rumble series. The game's plot is based upon the canon storyline's Kokuyo Arc. There are 6 modes in this game (excluding story mode), which are:
- Arcade Mode
- Battle Mode
- Family Battle
- Training Mode
- Collection
- Wi-Fi Multiplayer
Compared to the succeeding games that follow it, the fighting system within the game is crude; a complete combo is enough to knock down an enemy. There are no combo counts as well, and there are no support characters. The only characters shown in the game are:
