Character Overview

Gamma is the leader of the 3rd Aphelandra Squad, and is revealed to have rank equivalent to that of Shoichi Irie. He is the holder of the Lightning Mare Ring(fake), and was described by Lal Mirch as "extremely strong". Despite his looks-slicked back blond hair, and a sly smile-he is ruthless. Not hesitating to give Tazaru orders to kill an innocent person. Later, when asked by Hayato why he is so loyal to Uni, he comments that he doesn't know. And that, because she only lived with him for three months, is unsure of whether he even saw her real personality.

He is seen as the most loyal and trusted bodyguard of Aria, Uni's mother, as seen in opening Easy Go ver. 6.5, and in episode 118 where Aria was sharing her personal thoughts with him. He also said that he was "still mourning over her predecessor's death", referring to Uni's mother, Aria, after 3 months, showing that they had a very deep boss-subordinate relationship.

Future Arc

Kyoko Search & Gamma Battle

Gamma engages Takeshi and Hayato when they try to follow up a lead to find Hibari. The battle between him and Hayato starts off bad for his opponent when Gamma easily dodges Hayato's trap bombs and even his powered-up Flame Arrow(blowing up his already-thrown bombs) are no use when Gamma simply uses the power of his ring itself to create an electro-magnetic shield. He proceeds to reveal his Box Weapon-Pool Balls. Which he uses to easily hit an unsusupecting Hayato with his "Shot Plasma" attack. Wherein the balls surround the opponent and a large current of electricity flows inside of the area. Thereby mercilessly shocking the opponent.

Gamma listens to Takeshi and Hayato sort out their differences, and then proceeds with the battle. He reveals his Electro Volpi is response to their combination attack, which would have succeeded in causing him damage if Takeshi had his Rain Flames surrounding the Shigure Kintoki. However, Gamma makes a crucial comeback by knocking out Tsuna's Raing guardian witha Shot Plasma maneuver. Leaving only Hayato to do battle with him. However, when he reveals that a lot of his comrades saw Tsuna get murdered, Hayato flies off the handle and attempts to launch a close-range Flame Arrow, however, Gamma easily counters. Now, with Hayato at his mercy, Gamma presses him for info on Tsuna, and why he has a Vongola Ring. Takeshi arrives to assist, but it too weak to fend off an attack from Gamma. Gamma then physically beats Gokudera to try an coerce him, but his face is spat in. He realizes how it is, and before he kills Gokudera(not wanting to hand him over to White Spell), he is stopped by Hibari's Cloud Hedgehog.

The two have a little banter about the Boxes, and then Gamma releases the Elettro Volpi, to which his opponent responds-again-with the Cloud Hedgehog. At which point Hibari releases his Cloud Tonfa Box Weapon. This is Gamma's first time seeing someone who uses Rings so dispose-ably. They charge one another, but after exchanging a round of lightning-quick attacks, Gamma realizes that Hibari is no joke, and that this won't be as easy as dealing with the Storm and Rain guardians. He takes a tonfa strike right through his Mare Ring's electric shield. Gamma then attempts a Shot Plasma attack with the Pool Balls flying all around his opponent, leaving no opening big enough for Hibari to get through. Unfortunately, in an instant, he found the route with the lowest damage, focused all his defensive Cloud Flames on his left, and blocked ball #3. Gamma attempts to escape into the sky with his Lightning Boots, but is impaled on Hibari's Cloud Hedgehog's spikes, which used the Cloud's Propagation to absorb Gamma's Elettro Volpi's Lightning Flames. the finishing blow is delivered, and Gamma is knocked out.

Melone Base Invasion

The confrontation starts off when Gamma is trying to get ti the control room, where Shoichi Irie is. However, he unwittingly gets caught in a base rearrangement by Shoichi and ends entering the same room that Hayato and Ryohei walk into. He watches as Ryohei uses Sun Ropes to tie up Hayato so the two can go one-on-one. Gamma proudly proclaims that even him, Hayato, and Hibari together would be no match for him. He uses his Lightning boots in a split second to dodge a Maximum Ingram, and successfully uses a Shot Plasma attack against Ryohei, who attempted to doge by hiding behind a large training block. Before Gamma can use the final Shot Plasma against Ryohei, Kangaryu jumps to his aid. But Gamma merely turns his attack on it, and handily defeats the Box Weapon. His other opponent, though tied, manages to release his Box Weapon-Uri. Who lunges at Gamma. before he can cook it medium-rare, his original opponent comes back to take the brunt of his attack. He reveals he was using the Sun's Activation to high-speed heal. Gamma increases the pressure and fries Ryohei. But before he can use one more attack to make sure he's dead, Hayato steps in.

They battle long and hard, and in the end, Gamma reveals that he doesn't really know why he fights so hard for Uni, and in one last clash, the outcome of the battle is shrouded.

Current Location

Gamma is now proven to be alive after his fight with Gokudera. He is seen in Chapter 241, right as Byakuran's face was appearing out of the storm cloud, before the battle of Choice. When Uni is about to be taken back by the Six Funeral Wreaths, Gamma releases Nero Volpi and takes Uni back, trying to protect her after Nosaru and Tazaru are defeated.
