Home Tutor Dino is a Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Drama CD. The story features Dino's struggle in training his newly appointed student, Kyoya Hibari.

Synopsis[]

Dino tells Hibari to stop their training, but Hibari keeps attacking and accuses him of trying to run away from their fight. Dino blocks Hibari's tonfa with his whip, insisting that they stop since it's already dawn. Hibari doesn't care because all he want is just to bite Dino to death. Dino reasons to Hibari that having a fight end so quickly won't be fun, so they should be resting before continuing tomorrow, promising that he will fight Hibari until the Cloud Guardian is satisfied. Hibari is skeptical, questioning that he's just using that as an excuse to run away. Dino affirms that he's being honest since Reborn already asked him and doesn't want to know what would happen if Reborn finds him running away. Since Reborn said so, Hibari finally relents. Dino is surprised that Hibari believes it if it's Reborn, to which Hibari answers that Reborn is unordinary. He admits that Dino is strong but Reborn is on a whole different level. This causes Romario to laugh, confirming what Hibari said is true, something that Dino begrudgingly admitted.

Noticing how injured Hibari is, Dino tells Romario to treat his wounds, but Hibari refuses. Before leaving, Hibari tells Dino to pay the whole damage at school that was caused by their training. Dino protests by the demand, pointing out that Hibari himself has destroyed several parts of the school from his rampage, only to be told by Romario that Hibari already left. Seeing Dino at the moment, Romario reminiscences the old days when he and the other Cavallone Famiglia members were worried sick for Dino who was still immature and spineless. Romario admits that back then part of them wished for Dino to live a normal life out of concern for his safety, yet at the same time they were also thinking Dino is the only one who can become their boss. Dino says that he never regret becoming a boss, and if it weren't for Reborn, he wouldn't have the power to protect them like he does now. Dino then apologizes to Romario for putting him and the others in danger by his decision to support Tsuna.

Meanwhile, Tsuna can't concentrate on his training with Reborn and Basil because he is worried for his friends. Reborn assures Tsuna that his friends each already has tutor of their own. What Tsuna worried the most is Dino training Hibari as he can't imagine Hibari would listen to Dino. Basil is surprised by how Dino is willing to help Tsuna. He explains that even though Cavallone is an ally to Vongola, the conflict between successors should be settled only amongst the Vongola. Dino, however, brazenly declared that he is Tsuna's ally, which is a dangerous move as this means should Tsuna lose and Xanxus succeed the Vongola, then Cavallone would become an enemy to Vongola. The news worries Tsuna even further. Reborn tells Tsuna to prevent that from happening, he must focus on his training and they resume before Tsuna even ready.

As the Ring Battle begins, Dino leads Hibari to different locations to fight, now fighting in a forest. This is done because Namimori Middle School is used as the battlefield for the matches and Hibari would've been enraged if he knew how much the school has been changed. Dino calls for a brief rest, to which Hibari relents. Hibari then realises that Dino purposely leads them away from school, worrying Dino who fears that Hibari realises what happened to his school. Fortunately, Hibari mistakes Dino's intent luring him away from school as so that he won't need to pay for the damage like before. Hibari questions why Dino is so insistent in teaching him and what the benefit he gains from it. Dino answers that it's not about benefit, he wishes to help Tsuna in any way he can. Since he can't interfere directly, teaching Hibari to become Tsuna's Guardian is the only thing that he could think of to help. Dino explains that he wanted to help Tsuna directly, but he has something he must protect, and the conflicting emotions is what making him unable to do as he please. Hibari can't understand Dino's answer because he only do things that pleases him, and right now he wants to fight Dino because he is strong. Dino laughs at Hibari's answer, commenting how it's very like him. While understanding Hibari's strength comes from being a lone wolf, Dino is determined to teach Hibari there's also strength in protecting others.

Afterwards, Dino meets with Reborn who asks how he is holding up. Dino says he is exhausted, never thought that being a tutor would be so tiring. Reborn tells Dino that he now finally understands the hardship Arcobaleno went through when teaching him. Reborn states that his pride as a home tutor won't let the student he is teaching lose, so he would train Tsuna hard and Dino should do the same to Hibari, but don't push himself too hard. Dino understands and admit that while he can't help Tsuna directly, watching his disciple do the work is not bad either.
