Guardians' Banquet is the ninth Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Drama CD. The story details Gokudera trying to hold a nabe party for Tsuna after winning the Ring Conflict. However, things doesn't go as he planned due to the many interferences from the other Guardians.

Synopsis[]

Gokudera is preparing for the nabe at Namimori Middle School that he intends to eat together with Tsuna to strengthen their bond and celebrating their victory over the Ring Conflict. Gokudera got the idea of holding a nabe party together with Tsuna following a suggestion from certain someone. However, he is then interrupted by Lambo's arrival. Immediately got interested with Gokudera's nabe, but finds it boring since most of it are vegetables. Lambo got the idea of adding grenade and then candy into the nabe, which Gokudera prevented. Ryohei then arrived, who he guessed that they're training and offers Gokudera to join his boxing club, which Gokudera firmly declines. When Ryohei noticed the rumoured pot, he offered to put some gum inside as one of the ingredients since he's on a diet and gum won't hinder his diet.

When Lambo starts picking on Gokudera and they argue, Ryohei was just about to put the gum inside until Chrome suddenly appears out of nowhere, surprising them. Chrome pointed at the gum, saying that if they put the gum in the pot, it would block their throat and their breathing and they'll die. This stuns them who asks her again is she serious and Chrome nods, saying that gum could be life-threatening. Ryohei quickly and dramatically thanks her for saving his life. When the contents of the pot start to over-boil, Gokudera quickly turns off the fire as Chrome offers him tofu as an ingredient for nabe and about to put the tofu, only to have it spoiled over onto ground because of Gokudera's attempt to take it away from her. Chrome runs off from the place, much to Gokudera's puzzlement but decides to continue with the nabe.

This time, Yamamoto arrives with plenty of seafood for the ingredients, much to their amazement. Gokudera is conflicted between putting the fish into the nabe or not putting it because his pride refuse to acknowledge Yamamoto brought better ingredients than his. Yamamoto mistook Gokudera's hesitation as him wanting to eat sashimi before eating the nabe, so he cut the fish into sashimi and not putting it into the pot. All the while they enjoying the sashimi, Gokudera became exhausted by the non-stop interference and this worsens when Hibari arrives to stop the nabe party since they doing it in Namimori-Middle without his permission and briefly fights Gokudera, Ryohei, and Yamamoto, which resulting with their loss. But Gokudera stands again when Hibari about to confiscate the nabe, the three stood and manages to stops Hibari but unfortunately, the nabe was spilled all over due to Gokudera's dynamites, making him distresses.

Reborn then appears from the hotpot, having disguised as one of the vegetables and has been hiding inside the nabe all along. Gokudera then apologized to Reborn for ruining the party even though he went all his way following his advice. However, Reborn reveals that he was the one who called the other Guardians to hold the nabe party, reminding that Gokudera is not the only member of Tsuna's Family. Reborn then decides to play with Hibari while leaving Gokudera and the others to once again prepare the nabe. Shortly after, Haru and Kyoko arrive with ingredients from the supermarket for the nabe, making Gokudera's mood brighten and decides to start all over again.

However, when they were about to finish the nabe, Bianchi arrives, carrying a refrigerator with her. She says that Reborn tells her about the nabe party and decides to help too by bringing an ingredient with fish-like name. At first, Gokudera is oblivious of what she meant until he realizes that the refrigerator is enough to put one person inside. Bianchi continues that Gokudera seems to have fun to make nabe for Tsuna's sake and an opportunity to let Tsuna eat yummy things (meaning for her to gain the opportunity to get rid of Tsuna).

The story ends with Gokudera opens the refrigerator that reveals Tsuna inside and Gokudera screams his name in horror.
