Drama CD: And Then to the Usual Daily Life is the last Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Drama CD that was released on 2012. The story details Tsuna meeting Future Mukuro after the final battle against Byakuran.
Synopsis
After Tsuna defeated Byakuran, he and his friends are preparing to return to the past. While waiting for the preparation, Tsuna is wondering hard about certain someone until Reborn interrupts. When asked what he was thinking by his tutor, Tsuna explains that Reborn told him to properly greet the people who have helped him during the final battle and he is wondering if Mukuro is also included in those people, reminding Reborn how Future Mukuro saved them in the last battle. Tsuna thinks it would be difficult to speak with Mukuro in the past since he is still imprisoned, so he wonders if now is the only chance for him to speak with Mukuro directly.
Reborn agrees that this might be the only chance to speak with Mukuro and acknowledges that Mukuro did help them. Reborn urges Tsuna to tell his gratitude to Mukuro, but also reminds him to never forget what Mukuro did in the past, specifically how he have hurt his friends. Tsuna keeps this in mind and ready to go, only to hesitate once more when Reborn warns him not to get entangled by the other Kokuyo members. Still, Tsuna decides to look for Mukuro.
At the hideout, in the room where Bianchi told Tsuna Mukuro is staying at, Tsuna is bewildered that no one is around. He then meets Fran who introduced himself as Mukuro's apprentice. Tsuna is relieved because he thinks that Fran is easier to talk to than Ken does even though he finds Fran quite strange. Tsuna ask Fran where Mukuro is as he wants to greet him before returning to the past. Fran makes fun of Tsuna by coming up with various lies about where Mukuro is, much to Tsuna's dismay. Hibari then approaches the two, questioning their presence together. Fran recognizes Hibari, but mistakes his name as "Suzume", which Tsuna immediately corrects. Inwardly panicking of the possibility Hibari would pick a fight, Tsuna pleads to Fran to tell them Mukuro's location for real. However, not only Fran purposely calls Hibari's name incorrectly, he instead also creates an illusion of Mukuro. This doesn't deceive Hibari in the slightest, which impressed Fran. Seeing Fran went as far as conjuring an illusion of Mukuro, Tsuna deduces that Fran is trying to prevent them from seeing Mukuro. Tsuna remembers that Mukuro just got out from Vindice Prison, so he must be not in a good condition. Tsuna apologizes for not realizing this earlier and questions if the Kokuyo members are not around has something to do with it.
Hearing Tsuna, Fran comments that Tsuna is as amazing as he has heard. The real Mukuro then appears after hearing Fran insulting him. Tsuna becomes worried seeing Mukuro's pale face, but Mukuro states his displease at Tsuna's concern. Mukuro tells Hibari that he is willing to be his opponent at any time, but Hibari refuses to fight the current Mukuro who has yet to regain his full strength and leaves. Finally face-to-face with the illusionist, Tsuna thanked Mukuro for his assistance in the battle. Mukuro laughs at Tsuna's naïveté and reminds him how he has no intention to be friendly with Mafia, and forgiving him would be a mistake, something that Tsuna will understand once he return to the past. This makes Tsuna question if Mukuro is scheming something.
Mukuro simply states to wait until the time comes and leaves while laughing, Fran following behind. Watching the two illusionists leaving, Tsuna ponders how Mukuro is indeed a dangerous person, but yet Tsuna can't help but smile. Reborn suddenly appears, questioning why Tsuna is grinning by himself. Tsuna tells Reborn that Mukuro is a difficult person to understand, and that's what makes him Mukuro, making Reborn comment that Tsuna is too soft. Tsuna then asks Reborn why he is inside the trash can. Reborn explain that Mukuro is sharp, so he must disguise himself as a trash can. Tsuna complains that if Reborn is there the whole time then he should've saved him. Reborn changes the subject back to Mukuro, stating that back in the past, Mukuro seems to be planning something. Tsuna agrees and wonders what he should do if something unexpected happen. However, Tsuna adds that even if he can't see the future, he wants to treasure this every day lives he has right now. Reborn praises Tsuna for his insight and reminds him that there are still more people he needs to greet. Tsuna understands, and he and Reborn then goes to where Gokudera and the others are waiting.
