Overview
The Daily Life Arc is the series' first story arc, focusing on Tsuna's life as Reborn comes into it, and as he begins to learn about the Mafia ways. This is also when his family & friends (from Namimori) begins to expand. He encounters many different characters (including those from other countries e.g. Fuuta) that would eventually come to play a bigger role in his story, including a few of the Future characters' past selves (e.g. Dino ).
In this arc, Reborn gets Tsuna into all sorts of predicaments, resulting in Reborn shooting Tsuna's forehead with the Dying Will Bullet. This bullet boosts Tsuna's physical strength and gets him out of most of his troubles, though it doesn't always turn for the better. Reborn would also shoot several other types of special bullets that would help Tsuna get out of trouble. Tsuna slowly matures and develops himself both physically and mentally.
This arc consists of episodes that include Tsuna learning about Mafia items, introducing new characters who will be his companions in the following arcs, building of relationships and bonds (i.e Tsuna's 'date') between the characters and even following Japanese festivals (i.e Summer Festivals, vacation) and traditions. Some episodes are also to lighten up Tsuna's new life (i.e Snow fights (Mafia way) ), which is usually organized, hosted or created by Reborn.
Note
- In the manga, this arc took place before the Kokuyo Arc, however, for the anime, it was spilt in into 3 sections: the starting of the anime, after Kokuyo Arc and in between Varia Arc and Future Arc. Some of the episodes combine the original chapters.
- Also in the manga, Naito Longchamp made an appearence in the Daily Life Arc, however in the Anime version he was never shown nor mentioned, due to his low popularity.
- In the manga there was a chapter called Flower Viewing. It was not dispatched into the anime though.
- During Yamamoto's introduction in the anime he is seen with Tsuna playing volleyball. In the manga he helps Tsuna clean after a game of baseball, and later he breaks his arm and attempts sucide, this also was left out of the anime.
