The Bovino Famiglia is the Mafia family where Lambo previously came from. The Bovino Famiglia is known as a weak Famiglia but, as stated by Reborn, has a powerful firearm arsenal.
Plot overview[]
After Lambo has infiltrated Tsuna's room he announces how he is a hitman from the Bovino family. It is mentioned how a lot of weapons from the boss that are passed down in the Bovino family were borrowed by Lambo. They are referred to as a small mafia family by Reborn. The Bovino family is mentioned as Lambo desires to be the boss of it. At some point in the past the boss of the Bovino family brought Lambo to a bar where he met Reborn.[1]
The Bovino family is spoken of by Lambo when he attends Yamamoto's family entrance test. The group has never been heard of by Gokudera. It is stated that the boss sent Lambo a missile launcher.[2]
Apparently a member of the Bovino Famiglia is the sender of the unknown packages to Tsunayoshi Sawada and Shoichi Irie. One package for Shoichi's family includes pasta, olive oil, and wine. A note apologizes for the trouble Lambo caused, along with the request to pass the cow printed bag to him, which contains grenades. A wad of cash has also been sent to Shoichi's household. The box with the Bovino family crest remains under Shoichi's desk.[3]
When Tsuna and Reborn discuss how Lambo has the ring of thunder, it is wondered whether it is okay to bring him into the Vongola. Asked what Lambo's boss would say, Reborn answers he said it was a honor and was overjoyed.[4] The current Bovino boss had passed a set of Lambo's horns to Iemitsu which 20-year old Lambo uses in his battle against Levi.[5]
In the future the Bovino box sent to Shoichi was kept on a shelf in the Millefiore base.[6] When details of the ten-year-bazooka are shared with executives at the Millefiore headquarters by Byakuran it is commented how the item is passed down in what is called the reclusive Bovino family.[7]

- Toshio Koto - The Bovino Famiglia delivery man. He is pure Japanese.[8]
- The Boss of the Bovino Famiglia has never been named or shown; however, Reborn claims that he was honored and cried tears of joy when he heard Lambo was being invited to be the Vongola Lightning Guardian.[9] He also gave Iemitsu Sawada the horns Lambo uses for the Lightning Ring Battle, which were the key to summoning 20-year-later Lambo.[10]
